Papalupi
Papalupi was a word that I made up before I knew English, it meant blanket literally, but in a slightly more abstract way it had more to do with the feeling of safety I experienced when I had my blanket, I was an actual baby at the time.
Papalupi was also the name of a small business and series of projects that I began working on in high school and continued to work on until deciding to focus more of my free time on my eponymous brand.

sticker sheets
I often drew little faces in my sketchbook when in public, I liked making these simple tiny studies of people around me. I took some of my best faces and designed a sticker sheet online that I had printed professionally.

button pins
I took tiny doodles of flowers from the margins of my notebooks, paired them with inspirational sayings. I used my limited photoshop knowledge to design circles that I would print and carefully cut out, then press into buttons with safety pin backings using a tool I made with my dad as a weekend project.

vinyl stickers
I used the same process to make my stickers that I did to start my button pins, taking doodles to a more finalized design. This time I had them produced by a vinyl sticker company instead of making the physical stickers myself.

art prints
I used some of my own drawings to create a set of prints that I then had professionally printed onto nicer paper. The print pictured above is of a drawing I made in high school as an ode to Vincent van Gogh’s painting of Joseph Roulin, one of my favorite images of all time.
